First Things First: DJ Gear Can Be Expensive

in Gear,GUIDES,IDEAS,Opinion

DJing is an expensive hobby or profession (depending on whom the gift recipient is) and so be prepared to spend quite a substantial amount of money to please the DJ you are attempting to buy a present for.

It’s more than important to be aware of this reality. It’s crucial. You should have had a friend, family member or significant other who is into books as that would have been a better person to purchase gifts for!

But just because gifts for DJs tend to be expensive this does not mean that you have to spend a fortune to make the DJ in your life happy. There are so many ways around it.

For instance, you may buy gifts at good deals, you may buy goodies that are of high quality but at affordable price (such as a premium DJ headphone case that costs around $20 versus a terrible turntable that costs $300!) or you may get a group of friends or family members to contribute to the gift buying (and you’d still the credit as the person who brought it all together!).

DJR 400 DJ Mixer
The DJR 400 is a custom, hand-made DJ Mixer and costs about US $3500! That’s the price to pay for an exclusive piece of DJ equipment hence you must really like or love the DJ you’re gifting this amazing mixer to!

Slappa DJ Headphones Case
On the other hand, this premium Slappa DJ Headphone case is only US $20. It’s pretty expensive compared to normal bags or cases for DJ headphones but that price point will not ruin you and your gift recipient will be a happy camper.

The point of this article is that you should not be shocked at the price of DJ equipment, gadgets and goodies as in an expensive league to battle in but if you’re a smart shopper, you can beat the system and make your gift recipient the happiest DJ in the world for a second or two before he or she wants something else because the other sad reality is that DJs always want more, more and more more (my personal wish list would boggle your mind — hint: I demand only the best :-) )!
